louis poulsen
employed by his uncle in 1896 in copenhagen, louis poulsen gave the present-day
corporation its name. what was once a tool shop has become a global player
with a number of subsidiaries. in 1924, the company went into cooperation
with poul henningsen, who, in the 1960s, designed one of the world's most
famous suspended luminaires: the ph artichoke. in germany, louis poulsen has
been delivering lighting with superior functionality for forty years from
hilden near dusseldorf.
